Dear Friend Workshop

As part of the Festival of Books and Voices organised by PUBLICS, we ran with Ott Kagovere a letter-writing workshop for the the Youth Advisory Board in September 2023. With the Youth Advisory Board, we discussed the publishing project Dear Friend (2019-2022), reflected on accessible communication, peer networking and pondered on how to develop a sustainable project with limited resources.

The results of the workshop and further work by the Youth Advisory Boart is going to be presented at the Nordic Youth Symposium 2023: Sounding Out! Voicing the new institution, October 6, 2023 Oslo (Norway). The event is part of the Reaching Out project co-organised with PRAKSIS and Index Teen Advisory Boards (Oslo and Stockholm).

Previously we supervised one letter-writing workshop as part of the Dear Friend exhibition’s public programme at the EKA Gallery in September 2022. In March 2023 we presented the project at Kogo gallery in Tartu within the context of the exhibition “Greetings, and Whatever Customarily Restores a Bond About to Break” curated by Birgit Arop.
